OKOSONGORO SAFARI RANCH, owned by Peter Clausen, is one of Namibia's leading game ranches renowned for its excellent trophy hunting and photographic safaris. Okosongoro has proven to be an exceptionally successful breeding ground for a large variety of wildlife including white and black rhino. Due to its arid environment in the rocky terrain, careful veld monitoring and management is essential to achieve such breeding success. THE LIVE GAME AUCTION is arranged by African Wildlife Services on 23 June 2012 at Okosongoro Safari Ranch, Omaruru District. On the C33 tar road ±38km north of Omaruru and ±33km south of Kalkfeld, turn east onto a small gravel access road to Okosongoro Safari Ranch and follow the signs past the Okosongoro home stead to the auction pens ±7 km off the C33 tar road. Okosongoro has good gravel landing strip, 1 300m long and 4 700 feet altitude at South 21°07'09" and East 16°05'22", headings 03 and 33. THE ANIMALS CAN BE VIEWED in the bomas from 10:00 to 12:30. REGISTRATION will take place at the new auction shed from 10:00 to 12:45 and the auction will commence at 13:00. The auction will be conducted subject to the "Conditions of Sale" as stipulated in the Auction Catalogue, which include that animals sold on live auction will be at the risk of the buyer from the fall of the hammer.

The Kalkfeld Farmer's Association will open a cash bar before and after the auction and offer lunch for sale.
